In 2018, the High School Program (Educación Media Superior) was updated to comply with its essential purpose: to generate in the students the development of a first personal and social synthesis prior to their access to higher education, as well as providing an understanding of their society, preparing them for a possible job. FACETAS is a brief and multi-faceted intermediate Spanish program ideal for use in one-semester courses. It incorporates relevant literary and cultural readings and integrates two kinds of video. The first is a specially-shot sitcom featured in every lesson. The second showcases three original short films by contemporary Hispanic filmmakers. FACETAS' interactive, student-friendly approach focuses on real communication in meaningful contexts, giving students a rewarding learning experience as they strengthen their language skills and develop cultural competency.
