Las caballerías de la Revolución narra la vida y las campañas militares del general revolucionario mexicano Rafael Buelna, Buelnita, quien comenzó como activista estudiantil en la Universidad de Sinaloa, se unió al levantamiento maderista y destacó como mente táctica durante años con brillantes maniobras de caballería.

Santiago Santa Cruz, el Comandante Santiago, médico de profesión, relata su experiencia guerrillera en la Organización del Pueblo en Armas (ORPA) de Guatemala, y luego en el Frente Unitario de la Unidad Revolucionaria Nacional Guatemalteca (URNG), a partir de sus libretas de campaña y sus recuerdos personales.
