Hay, desde luego, en muchos de sus poemas, el idioma interior de un joven que disfrut la vida, pero siempre consciente de su inminente partida

Crónicas de Atenas es un poemario de plena actualidad en el que el poeta desgrana verso a verso los problemas de la exangüe Grecia de hoy, con su crisis económica y la desesperación ciudadana. Poesía bien calculada y de inmensa calidad en la que Manuel Jurado sigue rindiendo homenaje al país heleno, constante en su obra.
