Louis I. Kahn mantuvo unas charlas con los estudiantes de la Rice School of Architecture en la primavera de 1968. Un ano mas tarde, estas conversaciones se reunieron en un libro que, por primera vez, se presenta al lector de lengua castellana. El texto "Luz blanca, sombra negra" introduce su pensamiento y la conversacion con los estudiantes, "El diseno conduce a una forma de presencia," lo confronta.

Architectural guide to the city of Guadalajara, with a selection of close to 300 buildings representative of all time periods. The guide is divided in 3 sections: the first, the largest and medullar part of the book is the presentation of the buildings; a second section is an inventory of buildings important in the history of the city but now disappeared, and a third section includes location maps with recommended itineraries and routes. Each entry includes the name, date and brief history of the building and the name of the architect.
