Rubén Martínez Villena (20 de diciembre de 1899, La Habana-1934). Cuba. Escribió sus primeros poemas a los once años y estudió bachillerato en Letras y Ciencias en el Instituto No. 1 de La Habana. En 1916 inició sus estudios de Derecho en la Universidad de La Habana. El 18 de marzo de 1923 redactó la Protesta de los Trece representando un grupo de intelectuales con ideas progresistas que denunciaron la corrupción gubernamental, siendo encarcelado por primera vez. ¿Existen en la isla atlántica de Fuerteventura reliquias desconocidas de los aborígenes canarios? Si la repuesta fuera si, ¿ qué historia esconden y cuál será su antigüedad? ¿Podria tratarse de representaciones de la mitologia guanche o es posible que incluso existeria una cultura antes de los guanches? Todas estas preguntas derivaron a raíz de un hallazgo casual que hice en Fuerteventura. Después de muchos años de búsqueda, estoy convencido de que muchas de mis observaciones y numerosos hallazgos están relacionados con el patrimonio cultural de los Guanches / Majos.
