Este libro trata de los estilos y las tendencias de la primera mitad del siglo XX que están ausentes o son marginales en las historias de la arquitectura moderna, pero que fueron importantes e influyentes en la época en la que nacieron. En el texto se analizan los movimientos expresionistas y simbolistas tanto como los estilos épicos modernos, el Futurismo, el Art Déco, el Novecento, la arquitectura metafísica, el monumentalismo industrial babilónico y los diversos tipos de clasicismo. Mirar, ver y estudiar la ciudad de Santander desde un punto de vista matemático. Este ha sido el objetivo básico de este trabajo y, para ello, observamos la geometría de la arquitectura de sus edificios y monumentos, sus formas, sus detalles y ornamentos, por un lado, y la historia o anécdotas de esos lugares, por otro. En su segunda edición, revisada y aumentada,se ha vuelto a utilizar la fotografía como herramienta fundamental, ayudada por el software GeoGebra, los applets Descartes y la tecnología Flash.
