This study offers a profound study of Arrufat's play, using most recent critical trends concerning the performance aspect of the drama. It examines the genre of the drama and its relationship to the phenomenon of the Cuban Revolution, Arrufat as a Cuban playwright of the 60s and his re-writing of the Greek theme of the fratricidal fight in Aeschylus' Seven Against Thebes. Nació el 21 de Diciembre de 1959, en San Juan, Puerto Rico. Graduado de la Universidad de Puerto Rico en 1981 con un Bachillerato en Artes en Educación General. Se graduó de la Escuela de Derecho de esa Universidad en 1984. Soltero, tiene dos hijos, Arturo Javier y Ana Isabel Dávila Martínez. Ejerció la profesión del derecho, especializándose en el Derecho Penal y fue Juez de 1992 al 1997.
