Dora, una niña mulata, y su abuelo viven realquilados en la casa de la Viuda sin Corazón, que los humilla y los espía con su loro Rigoletto. Un compañero de la clase de Dora, Charli, y su Mala Sombra hacen la vida imposible a Dora.
