Sin miedo al retrato

The project "Realities and Desires" by Susana Casarin began in January of 2007 in some areas of high marginalization in the State of Veracruz and in the districts of Netzahualcyotl and Ecatepec on the outskirts of Mexico City. Her photographs graphically documented the life stories of local transvestites and transgender persons highlighting in her images the stigma, discrimination and marginalization of gender suffered by this vulnerable social group. Includes texts by doctor and surgeon Arnoldo Kraus.

"Follows a fictional Sheffield band from Mexico, in the style of legendary magazine 'The Face' ... Anthological exhibition of Cuban photography, fifty artists and one hundred images allow an extensive tour of the development of photography in Cuba since its arrival on the island in 1840 to the present.
