En este ensayo se analizan las paradojas que suscito y aun suscita el episodio de Malvinas, tal como fueron vividas, planteadas y resueltas por sus propios actores; el proceso por el que un pequeno archipielago del Atlantico sur se convirtio en emblema de la nacion, y finalmente que hicieron los argentinos con Malvinas despues de la rendicion, cuando el simbolo de la unidad comunitaria se torno en un simbolo de verguenza y antagonismo.
