Cada volumen incluye cantadas para una voz solista –tiple, alto, tenor y bajo–, en ocasiones precedidas por un estribillo a 8. Además, se dedica otro volumen a los villancicos al Santísimo para coro. El presente volumen incluye cuatro cantadas para bajo. En una de ellas se menciona al cantante, el famoso bajo Antonio Montagnana. Cabe pensar que el resto de cantadas estarían también destinadas a ser interpretadas por él.
