Seminar paper del año 2003 en eltema Romanística - Español, literatura, cultura general, Nota: 2,0, Universität zu Köln (Romanisches seminar), Materia: Spanische Lyrik der Reinaissance, 7 Citas bibliográficas, Idioma: Español, Resumen: La imitación de renombrados autores es practicamente tan antigua como la literatura misma, desde que existen los primeros textos se han orientado las nuevas generaciones en su ejemplo tratando de compararse con modelos históricos y buscando a través de ello la superación y el reconocimiento personal. Los justificativos para dicha imitación se retrotraen entre otros a Horacio quien en sus obras calificara a Píndaro como cisne que vuela alto y canta fuerte y a sí mismo como humilde abeja que recoge laboriosamente el nectar de distintas flores . La modalidad de la imitación de dichos y posteriores autores se conservará entonces durante los siglos posteriores en la literatura de la edad media y resurgirá aún más vehementemente durante el renacentismo llegandose a considerar incluso como despreciables a las obras que no pretendieran imitar a los clásicos. Sin embargo no falto quien considerara que la originalidad también debía de ser apreciada y fomentara la variación dentro de la imitación como modelo apartandose así de los canones ciceronianos. Dentro del marco que se establece entre la reproducción de sentimientos auténticos y la imitación premeditada y conciente busca el presente trabajo dilucidar la postura de Garcilaso de la Vega frente a las acostumbradas prácticas de la imitatio, como así también la relación que lo vinculaba a los autores italianos en particular a Petrarca.
