Esta serie de ensayos, escritos a la largo de 25 años, recoge las reflexiones que la obra plástica de Vicente Rojo despertó en el escritor mexicano Juan García Ponce (1932-2003). El gran mérito de esta conjugación de ensayos es que ofrece el diálogo lúcido entre el crítico y los diferentes momentos y temas por los que ha atravesado la pintura de Rojo.
